The origins of the Medal of the Immaculate Conception, commonly known now as the Miraculous Medal because of the countless miracles associated with it since its inception, is dated to 1830 in Paris, France when Mary appeared to St. Catherine Labouré, a novice with the Daughters of Charity. Mary directed Catherine to have the Miraculous Medal struck and distributed. Countless numbers of people who have worn the medal have experienced the gracious-ness of God’s love and mercy through the intercession of our Blessed Mother. The Miraculous Medal is one more special way in which we share with Mary the Mission of drawing others closer to her son, our Savior Jesus Christ. A Mass will be offered on Monday, November 30th at 5:30 PM. Miraculous Medals from the Rue De Bac Parish Apparition Site will be blessed and distributed during Mass.
