Bible Study

Are you interested in learning more about sacred scripture?  Are you looking for spiritual fulfillment outside of the Mass?  If so, why not join the Bible Study group at our own parish?  Newcomers are welcome and no prior experience is necessary.  There is a nominal fee for course materials.  For more information, contact Janet @ (203) 333-9065.

Morning:

Meets on Thursday mornings from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. in the parish center.

Evening:

Meets on Thursday evenings at 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. in the parish center.

Why should I study scripture?

First, because it’s God’s Word to us and for us.  Studying scripture not only helps us to learn God’s message, but it allows us to better know God.  Additionally, we get pertinent advice on daily issues that we as a human race have dealt with since the beginning of time.  This allows us to avoid errors, to become more Christlike, and to help others.

I really don’t know much about the Bible.  Is this for me?

Absolutely!  We are a group of ordinary people with a common desire to better know and understand God’s word.  Each of us have unique experiences that help enrich our group discussions at each session.
