Come and pray together this Tuesday, September 15th at 7:00 PM for our Evening Prayer, or “Vespers” in honor of Our Lady of Sorrows. Vespers is part of the Liturgy of the Hours, also known as the Divine Office. Through this prayer, the people of God sanctify the day by continual praise of God and prayers of intercession for the needs of the world, and give thanks for the day just passed and makes an evening sacrifice of praise to God (see Psalm 141:1). In addition, Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament will be offered during this time. Come and join together as a parish family and experience this beautiful prayer of the Divine Office. MASKS ARE REQUIRED.
On Tuesday, September 29th in Honor of the Feast of the Archangels, we will recite the Holy Rosary. The service will begin at 7:00 PM. In addition, there will be Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and Confession. The service will also be live-streamed. All are welcome. Please wear a Mask.
Will take place this coming Friday, October 2, following the 7:30 AM Mass and will conclude on First Saturday, October 3, prior to the 7:30 AM Mass. Due to our 5:30 PM Mass, the Blessed Sacrament will be reposed from 5:15 to 6:00 PM. All are welcome to come to spend a hour with Jesus.
All are invited to join in a Public Square Rosary Rally on Saturday, October 10th at 12:00 noon, outside on the grounds in front of Our Lady of Assumption church. This Public Square Rosary, sponsored by America Needs Fatima, will be one of over 20,000 rallies that will take place all across the United States on that day. Please join us in offering reparation for the sins and offences committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary and to fervently pray for the conversion of the United States. We invite you to bring your pet(s) to have them blessed on Sunday, October 4, at 12:00 PM in honor of St. Francis of Assisi. The blessing will take place outside, in the yard by the rectory. However, in case of bad weather, the bless-ing will be held in the church. Please have your pets on a leash or in a carrier. All pets and their owners are welcome! MASKS ARE REQUIRED.
On Monday October 5th, in honor of the Great Apostle of Divine Mercy…Saint Faustina…whose Feast Day is celebrated that day…after the 7:30 AM Mass the Divine Mercy Chaplet will be recited. For the 5:30 PM Mass…there will be music and following the Mass, the sung version of the Chaplet will be performed. The 5:30 PM Mass and Chaplet will also be live-streamed.
In celebration of the Feast Day of Saint Faustina the Great Apostle of Divine Mercy, immediately following the 7:30 AM and 5:30 PM Masses on Monday October 5th, we will recite the Divine Mercy Chaplet. We hope to have Divine Mercy Images available to take home.
